Until Fri. Nov. 21: Discovery Blvd. closed to thru traffic between Veterans Memorial Pkwy / SR 8 and Mableton Pkwy / SR 139 due to emergency repairs to the bridge over Nickajack Creek.

Detour route:
- From Discovery Blvd. at Mableton Pkwy, take Mableton Pkwy south (becomes MLK Jr Dr. at Fulton County line), left on Fulton Industrial Blvd., left on Hollowell Pkwy. (becomes Veterans Memorial Hwy. at Cobb County line) to Discovery Blvd.
- From Discovery Blvd. at Veterans Memorial Hwy., take Veterans Memorial Highway south (Hollowell Pkwy at Fulton County line, right on Fulton Industrial Blvd., right on MLK Jr Dr. (becomes Mableton Pkwy at Cobb County line) to Discovery Blvd.

Through Oct. 22, 2009: Old Roswell Rd. is now closed between Mansell Rd. and Sanctuary Pkwy to replace the bridge over Foe Killer Creek. Detours are as follows:

- Traveling southwest on Westside Pkwy: Left on Encore Pkwy, right on North Point Pkwy and right on Mansell Rd.
- Traveling east on Mansell Rd.: Left on North Point Pkwy, left on Encore Pkwy, right on Westside Pkwy.

Motorists in this area are strongly advised to slow down, use caution, and allow extra travel time or use alternate routes.

The westbound side of 16th Street is now closed between Williams and Spring Streets until further notice.

- No access to I-75 northbound via 16th St.
- Signed detours will be in place to bypass 16th St. and continue on to 14th St.
- Traffic will have access to I-75 northbound via Williams St. and the access road just before the 17th St. Bridge.
- Right turns permitted from Williams St. onto 16th St. for motorists not wishing interstate access.
