Fri. July 3: Traffic is expected to be light due to July 4th observance by state and federal agencies.

Sat. July 4: Traffic will likely be congested due to holiday festivities. For a list of major special events occurring statewide, click here.

Through 5 a.m. Mon July 6: Roadwork suspended on all major interstates and state routes. Permanent closures may remain on I-85 in Meriwether and Coweta counties, I-75 in South Georgia and I-95 on the coast. Incident management or emergency-related lane closures could become necessary on any route.

Summer 2009: The summer construction season is underway, and a number of roadwork and maintenance projects are scheduled. Many will require lane closures and result in traffic delays on interstates and state routes throughout Georgia. Motorists are urged to plan ahead and check this website or call 511, 24 hours a day.

There will be no construction-related lane closures during the July 4th and Labor Day holiday weekends. For a complete list of planned projects, click here.

In progress through July 2: I-75 SB off-ramps to Exits 102 and 101 are temporarily combined. SB motorists accessing Exit 101 (S.R. 30/16th Ave.) must use the SB off-ramp to Exit 102 (SR 257). The existing SB Exit 101 off-ramp is closed temporarily. Signs are posted along the new temporary route. Southbound motorists are strongly advised to slow down, use caution, and allow extra time to get through this area.
