Instructions:
There are two ways to get trip times on this page.
One is to use the section above (Calculate Trip Time), and the other is to
use the table to the left (Link Data).
1ST METHOD (top): Start by selecting desired freeway
using buttons across top of page. A map highlighting
that freeway will appear. Next, click one of the numbered circles
on map to set starting point. This interchange will
automatically fill in as START. Then, click another
numbered circle to set END point. Made a mistake? Click
RESET button and start over. Once you've selected your start
and end points, the distance and trip time between these two
points is shown. If "data not available" appears, there are
insufficient speed readings to calculate a trip time.
2ND METHOD (left): Find waypoint number (from map) for START
point on the LEFT margin of table. Find waypoint number of END
point along TOP margin of table. Trace across and down to where
two points in the table intersect. Number in cell indicates trip time,
in minutes, from start to end. Works for either direction of travel.
Table cells also indicate (by color) the travel speeds between waypoints.
Green: speeds above 50 mph; yellow: between 30 and 50 mph; red
below 30 mph. Gray: insufficient data for trip times.
